Of the array of technologists I have seen promoting AI, and warning us about AI, none of them has come with credentials, or produced speech, that indicate they have a deep or even workaday understanding of human nature and it's history. No surprise, the rocket scientists who created rocket science and, you know, gave the world the V-2 rockets, were not likely moonlighting as poets or history professors. They were, we can assume, doing what they did best, and had, by and large, been genetically predisposed to do. In the process of delivering Hitler what he wanted. It's likely that many of these wizards were not fascist zealots, but more interested in fact in the complex, almost monastic business of solving very complex mathematical problems than sustaining the Reich.
