What’s hilarious is that AI has been around for way longer than people think. It’s only LLM that have changed the narrative because thanks to things like the internet, you now have ridiculous amounts of data to play with. However, a lot of that data is bogus and the AI has no way to really figure out what data is bogus hence the high hallucination rates. So will AI replace things like Amazon customer service agents, yes. Will AI replace scientist, engineers, medical professionals, probably not. More likely those profession will increase their efficiency using AI tools.
