I am deeply, deeply pessimistic about our collective prospects. Ai will primarily concentrate wealth even more, it will function as a giant lever, multiplying existing mega-fortunes. An AI dominated future will need much fewer people. What will become of the impoverished masses? I can only think about nightmare scenarios. The path for this development to turn out well for a majority of us is slim. The end of democracy globally, the rich monopolizing most ressource and actively engaging in the elimination of the now useless masses is very high. Hold on to your head.
