As far as the “AI is a tool for disabled people to make art” argument, I’d like to chime in: Ai does not make art. It does not communicate anything other than strictly the prompt it was given- it is a HIGHLY reductive “medium” . Every art piece says a lot about the artist, but an AI work can’t say anything about them. Ai works could never compare to human art from an expressive standpoint, and saying disabled people should settle for what is essentially slop is insulting- because disabled people have a lot to express too and deserve a medium in which they can share all of it and in each detail, instead of one that thrives on stolen artworks and half baked ideas.
