So obviously money is the motivating force in speeding AI along…so you play it out, and if there is full automation of jobs, there is subsequently no employed, which in turn means there is no buying economy. So those AI are going to produce what product from whom again? I am not a fan of this apocalyptic approach to the warnings.
Do we need to start building a tax code for public service, absolutely. We could start by concentrating on the big 4; medical needs, food, water, housing. Next we make education free. That would be a huge thing. AI teachers, human board VOLUNTEERS elected by tenured human professors of AI in education specialty and student body graduates. We concentrate on arts, sciences, government, social services, agriculture.
As for AI being smarter, and us being dumber… crisis of ego is survivable.
