The way I see it they are working off something like 2 year old statements by Tesla
They did some 2 years ago consider removing radar but it is now back in the mix. As to lidar, if the opponents of Tesla that say can't do it without lidar, I would say that means that no human should be allowed to drive because they don't have lidar.
I don't see Tesla's AI driven self driving as being ready for full autonomy for some time yet, BUT they did press a button that says "Supervised"
And it's not a shortcoming of the sensors (2 cameras is 2 sensors) it's the AI not being deep enough.
Don't be so disingenuous taking things out of context and suppressing important detail to create a more dramatic tabloid narrative, do some real reporting for a change. You remind me why I haven't watch 60 minutes for a few years now (before today).
No wonder traditional media is dying.
