There's a pretty good book called 'Prediction Machines' that covers some of the business sense of AI, but just to summarise, they argue that as prediction becomes cheaper and increasingly outsourced to AI, the cost of judgement (which must be done by humans) go up. While AI is awesome for coding, it will probably be increasingly important for Jr devs to learn the skill of actually judging the output of AI which of course is not possible if they're too heavily reliant on it. Will be really interesting to see how the state of SWE is in a couple years and what long term damage is done when seniors retire and Jr devs can't make proper judgement of AI output.
