The AI companies are already hitting a wall as their 'services' are less, and less needed, as companies go broke right now -- not in the future, right now -- millions have opted out of Microsoft, Google, and Apples Surveillance Computer Services -- and the numbers are growing, not just among 'normmies' (like me), but small, and medium sized companies -- in order for the Totalitarian Tech Oligarchs to deal with their fears they have corrupted governments, media, and the court systems -- people are fighting back (not buying products, using cash, bartering, trading, moving their lives offline, moving from cities to the country and joining small communities). UBI does not work, as it drives up prices unless price controls are brought in then it creates a massive black market -- the opposite of what the Oligarch want. The biggest problem with the Tech self proclaimed New Kings -- is that most of the world we live on is OFF LINE -- the entire supporting structure of our society is OFF LINE -- from roads, to power production, to the means of maintaining and developing power, to the very buildings housing data farms, the mansions, to the airports and hotels -- these people know that they'll need about 100 million world wide to look after their needs, and call the rest useless eaters (while destroying education to create better consumers who can not maintain the modern world), but have no idea what to do if a tornado, or electrical storm takes out power stations -- or if an EMP natural or manmade hits -- they try to live in a static world that they delude themselves they control -- if they continue to get their way, there will be NO resilience left in the West and it will fall hard; they will escape on their jets until their wealth runs out or they find themselves hiding in their bunkers while people pour ready-crete into their escape hatches... This ends badly for the would be Kings, because it always does -- they, and their politician lap dogs, and jack booted enforcers will all end up decorating streets, or headless, or they end up dying from disease, infections, or starvation from destroying the systems that supported them, because it always ends this way -- the question is what will be left before it does.
