What we are witnessing today is the rise of Tribalism.....In the USA for example, there is no longer Nationalism as we see the great divides between what are effecvtively Tribes.....These tribes can be identified easily, as for example the Financial tribes, The Political tribes, the Technology tribes, the Religious tribes, the Wealthy tribes and many others.
The USA today is a deaply divided Nation and we see how some tribes are grabbing the wealth whilst others are being left behind.
It is quite scary to see the grab for power and wealth at the expense of Joe Public who probably does not even belong to any tribe, not even a member of a Union of sorts and is totally reliant on getting a job to pay for his or her's living expenses which everybody needs.
The demise of Unions is the root cause of the demise of the worker......Workers are very vulnerable because if they are not in a Tribe, then any Tribe can use them to the Tribes benefit......The Management Tribes of today has no balance or fairness to justify, only profit and benefit for themselves and their tribes and o their company or business.
The rise of unemployment is the sign that many people have been abandonded without a tribe and thrown onto the scrapheap of Government support or charity.
Artificial Intelligence is the next phase of Tribalism in action and it will be even more divisive as we already see with high tech jobs commanding huge salaries and throwing millions of people onto the scrapheap.
We have witnessed this beforeand of course the classic example was in Germany in the 1930s when the Nazi Tribe grew to embrace a whole nation.
Tribalism is on the rise for sure.....If you are not in a tribe, then what hope have you today?
