Look... i'm just a dumb monkey, but here's my take. They're greatly investing in AI and robotics to _"increase the wellbeing of the people"_ *or* _"to hugely increase their own wealth"_ .
Ok, why can't both things be true?! Up until now technology has (almost) always been enhancing quality of life. I don't see why it would be any different in the future. And also, and i think we have a different opinion on this one, i have no problem with billionaires. Becoming thát wealthy means making big sacrifices, taking huge risks and working 26 hours a day. Not everyone is cut out for that.
Fact is ai, robotics and automation is inevitable. And what use are their robots if there aren't any people, or people wouldn't have anything to spend. So, in some way or another, they're gonna have to make sure that people will have money. Otherwise, like i said, their business model will be useless to them.
But again... I'm just a dumb monkey. 🤷🏻
In the end, one can only hope that this inevitable future will be bright!
