I have a good example of being inspired even when I'm drawing a specific character. like many artists, I draw things in my own way, which is my style. when i draw mario, i dont sit down with a reference image and copy every line as best i can, i draw him in my own way. I'm not going to make his head dynamic and realistically shaped, im going to make it very circular. not because i'm lazy, but because as i draw, certain shapes and colors of things will feel right to me. i often opt for circular, simple shaped characters, and that influences the way i draw other things. im not going to make a round shape with an indented back as a torso if it doesn't feel right. imma draw a frick'n avacado shape! point is, AI will just take some relevant photos, cut out what it doesn't want, dip em in water and try to piece together a coherent image. i believe that AI should've been taught HOW to draw, not what a drawing looks like.
