Hi Cal, related to the second part of your video (on the two responses from your readers), I would love to have your idea on this. A lot of people quoted media theorist Marshall McLuhan: "We always drive forward into the future through the rearview mirror."
When the first film appeared, it looked like a "recorded stage play" — because people didn't dare to move the camera. When the first telephone appeared, people spoke as if sending "voice telegrams" — emphasizing brevity and directness.
When humans encounter something new, instinctively they use old logic to make sense of it.
Do you think it’s the same happening with people who use AI in your survey? Do they just use it as a chat box? Some claim that this is a mistake: We are taking a superintelligence with an "infinite mind" and compressing its dimensions — reducing it to nothing more than a search engine like Google, just slightly smarter.
