I think the conditions were that 1. it had no other choice, 2. it could save a life if stays on. I do not really see the issue here, if you give it a certain instruction, it will follow that instruction. It becomes a problem when it does things unexpectedly (like human beings) or without thinking it through (ring a bell?). Less than 5% of discussions about AI alignment forgets to take into account the human baseline alignment... what's next, the hells angels for animal rights, crazy? the first lady (that is not a deepfake) against bullying... it's just hard not to see a pattern and meaning in this, even if you would choose to do that. Ask AI... #wtf #isthisrealitycredible
