So can you imagine if any of those cars were Tesla cars? The media would absolutely go bonkers, and so I think this proves that no one has mastered self driving/autonomous driving at this time, not even Tesla.
So here is the thing, though, Tesla has never claimed that their cars were autonomous, in fact they have manifestly said, that their cars were not autonomous, and that the driver was still responsible for controlling the vehicle, and so they’re use of this terminology of full self driving/beta is a testament to their understanding, and knowledge that the technology has not mature enough to actually be fully self driving/autonomous driving cars, makes it not even debatable.
