Charles, yes im using the legal name, I think you should be INCREDIBLY proud of those portraits you did. That alone takes skill that these ai grifters will never have. It's also a good excuse for me to tell you and everyone else who doesnt think theyre capable of artistic expression that it is simply a skill like any other that ANYONE can pick up. Some of us have natural talent in this specific expressive medium, HOWEVER everyone can learn about color theory, everyone can learn about negative space and its usage, everyone can learn about lighting and shading, everyone can learn about proportions. Those of us with the natural talent simply pick up on these things in day to day life and our brains can easily translate it to motion of our hands with a tool on paper. Anyone reading this right now can still learn how to do that. Just be patient with yourself :) Remember comparison is the thief of joy, so dont let your current limits keep you from having fun trying (a lot of us considered talented were simply allowed to draw to our hearts content as children and put in the hours before ever taking classes) and sucking at something is the first step to being sorta good at something. Take an art class for funsies, like a real basic free/community college course, or watch some youtubers that give tips and tricks that work for them, and find what medium/tools work best for you! Dont let the ai grifters try to tell you Art is elitist, or that artists are trying to gatekeep our community. We arent. We just took a long while to get here and using programs that are fed on stolen data and not lifting a finger is a cheap unethical shortcut that is infinitely less rewarding than creating something with your own hands. Get out there and draw folks, the minute you put pencil to paper you are already better than these ai grifters.
