There's one aspect that everyone seems to miss, organic lifeforms are based on self replicating units called cells that organise themselves into complex organisms that can independently look for food and resources, and try to reproduce successfully.
Machines on the other hand are dependent on complex supply chains, with many materials and products being sourced from hundreds of places. With different levels of automation, and with components with wildly different reliability. We can create a machine learning entity that is effective in manipulating us or even will try to destroy us. But we can't create self replicating hardware that can be used by that entity as a substrate.
These things lack autonomy due to the limitations on real world manufacturing processes, and that many things depend on manual labour with its complex set of implicit knowledge. For the machine AI to survive us it needs to be able to maintain itself and reproduce.
