I really agree with Geoffery Hinton’s idea that consciousness is an emergent property of a complex system. There really is no hard line when I think about it.
A 10 days old baby is probably less conscious than a full grown house cat but slowly and surely over time, that baby grows into a person and becomes far more conscious than the house cat. There is no one instant that it happens, it just happens slowly over time.
I think it’s the same with AI and eventually humans might become that house cat 😂😂
