I wonder, would it be possible to create an AI which can have subjective experience? Something which is ‘born’ without knowledge of anything, and something which is programmed to take in things from the world around them to learn what things are, and how to communicate, and how to maneuver around the world physically and mentally. And once that ai reaches a state of adult knowledge, can we consider that ai sentient? After all, it essentially went through the life of a child growing into an adult. It formed its own way of viewing and interacting with the world. It’s experience WOULD be subjective.
