The important issue is safety. I don't think route finding is an issue long term. Any self driving vehicle will soon have very optimal routes. I don't think any self driving with only normal cameras is good enough, so I don't think Tesla's Robotaxi is good enough.. and I don't think it ever will be with the current platform. I'd be willing to bet that Waymo will be full operational in several European cities within 2 years and that Robotaxi will never be allowed here in it's current form. If fact, I don't think Robotaxi will be driving without a handler for years.
