Moreover, GPT doesn’t remember or recount past conversations between users. It will hallucinate and give you the answer it thinks you want. That is, it will give you the response most likely to have garnered a positive reinforcement in its training. Since a lot of its training is from users giving a thumbs up or thumbs down, this means that it’s more likely to tell you what reinforces your beliefs.
If you want useful information from it, you need to structure your questions in the same way you want to for a balanced research study, which is a delicate science. It is easy to accidentally include a bias in the way you ask a question.
