I'm glad that someone on Youtube isn't just paying lip service to the AI alignment problem. People need to realise that sentient AGI/ASI will be so far beyond human intellectual capability that we just won't be able to outsmart it or tell it what to do. The ANNs don't learn and understand concepts like we do, meaning that they will never learn morals, principles, laws and codes of conduct in the same way. Which part of humanity would AI be aligned with? The democratic republics practicing imperialism and capitalism at the cost of the exploitation of the working class, pollution of the global environment and climate change - both resulting in, at some point, the death of 100s of millions of people due to related afflictions? The practitioners of religions, the cause of suffering, strife and conflict for large swathes of the human population in total for thousands of years, possibly longer?
