Ai will likely replace many artistic jobs in the future, not due to quality mind you, but due to quantity, major corporations don’t care about the quality of an artistic product, if they think they can get away with a cost cutting measure, then they will take it, and ai is the greatest cost cutting measure, so long as the quality is at an acceptable level, you’d only need one person for a job that in the past could have taken dozens of people. In a perfect world where you don’t need a job to survive and the loss of most of an entire industry wouldn’t cripple the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands if not millions of people, this wouldn’t inherently be a problem, but that’s not the world we live in, and the damage corporations will do to people using ai is indicative of a need for some sort of government intervention.
