The thing I think people miss in these conversations is that it is likely we will integrate with AI and thus be immune to its manipulations. It is like being able to tell the future, if one person can tell another’s future they will have power but if both can tell their own and the other’s future they will act off that knowledge and thus invalidate the predictions and be returned to ignorance.
