A robot using AI can't do my job at the moment because it wouldn't be cost effective but that doesn't mean it won't happen in the next 20yrs. When I was growing up only companies had computers, now I've got one in my hand.
Interface connection problem on a machine I'm working on and Chatgpt has accessed the manual I haven't got and bingo! code/sequence/connection and job done. I'm happy with AI at the moment and in my 60's, so I doubt I will be affected but things are moving quickly, robotics are proven and have been around longer than AI. Who knows?
