There’s a ton of service based jobs and human based jobs that will never be automated. Like dog poop scooping through peoples junky yards, rich and poor; or interacting with people or animals that have anxiety. We can’t even get highways that are not constantly under construction, which these days feels archaic; not to mention cementing technology & mastery in itself is still an evolving trade skill. I’m staring at a blank & boring gym wall in a very public place that is extremely well funded right now and it has significant dry wall mistakes, plumbing issues, grout failures, electrical issues, and major interior design & ergonomic flaws. Ai might replace some things, but it will be decades before my local gym has the funding for the experts that are also trained and funded enough to afford the ai machines to fix my local infastructure. Hell, an ai machine probably won’t even pour the cement in the parking lot and re-stripe the lines by that time, a human will still need to drive it there, and guide it, and adhere to safety regulations.
