This isnt even mentioning the insane level of unbridled hate and horror that the "human element" can put into these algorithms. At 10:50 your giving companies the programmers the benefit of the doubt, yes alot of programmers arnt racist but it would only take a couple to alter the learning process to deliberately target one group of people. Given time they could also remove all blame from themselves and pin it on skynet jr. you would end up with every enemy a given programmer or hacker ever made being targeted because they were bullied by these people in highschool (plus all of the actual racists getting their hands on it)
Then you have the problem of the police feeding it data. Police arrest a hugely disproportionate amount of minorities so if an ai only used that data base, bye bye everyone not white.
on the flip-side however extremists can use it to target more subtle bigots (e.g those who keep their ideals hidden behind donations to certain groups) and bring social justice against them.
once a company gets a new toy to exploit it isnt long before everyone else can make their own for half the price.
