This sums up the whole thing nicely! Like I've messed around with generators for kicks too, but I also make art myself. So when I'd generate something, I'd be like: "Well that was fun to see the result, but not very satisfying.". AI generation never makes you learn how to do line work, proportions, perspective, shading, highlights, color theory, effects, etc... Just type some words in and generate a bunch of things until it looks like you were hoping. Maybe change words and/or sliders along the way. Him (or any others who deem themselves "AI Artists") somehow getting the idea that AI generation is anything close to actually drawing something yourself is silly.
