So much misinformation here, if you aren’t going to learn the technology or the laws, then you shouldn’t be commenting on the subject, otherwise you’re just spreading misinformation and lies to manipulate people’s opinions. As a result, there is a lot of hate generated and death threats being made towards AI artists based on lies. Artists also rejected NFTs based on lack of understanding of the potential the technology holds for digital licensing and copyright, but instead of learning about the technology, they let others tell them it’s bad. Do you think an automated system that tracks art would not be useful in tracking AI art? If you wanted a more equitable system, then you should be supporting a blockchain based copyright system. It won’t stop people from making unauthorized images, but would create an authorized registry for artists and would allow for a more transparent and accessible dispute system than what we have today where major corporations hold all the cards. Unfortunately, there needs to be some government involvement for digital identity and authenticity, otherwise it would be difficult to prove who made what. This is far better than the existing system where you have little control over how your art is used, it won’t stop AI art or copyright infringement but creates a system that gives you more control over how your artwork is used. Anything not on the blockchain would be unlicensed works, it’s would be far easier to get companies to support a blockchain based system for licensing than to try and ban AI art, that cat is out of the bag and there’s nothing you can do to eliminate it.
