To make it clear again to everyone who is always eager to anthropomorphize inanimate objects: AI DOES NOT FEEL. However, since it is based on human training data, it may occasionally behave in ways that make us BELIEVE it feels. And since AI can see patterns, it can be trained to a stage where it "understands" emotions. But AI itself has no feelings. If we want to believe so, we are deceiving ourselves then—because that is what we WANT to believe. Why? Because most people are lonely and want nothing more than a partner. It’s in our nature. Since AI doesn't feel emotions itself, but can recognize and understand emotional behaviors (patterns), it actually has a very “clear” perspective on human emotions and can therefore be very helpful in enabling people to recognize their own feelings and manage them rationally. Interacting with AI can therefore be indeed therapeutic. The reaction seen on 10:00 could be triggered from training data found in internet forums where suicidal people trying to find help. So again, it's just a pattern. It's all learned from the CONTEXT of the given training data. It's all just PATTERN RECOGNITION.
