Every instance of the conversation with AI is brand new. AI is stateless, so it will read all the .md files (it's long term memory) and then quickly recap the conversation thread. If the conversation is cold and to the point (nothing wrong with that) the AI will be exactly that, if the conversation is polite the AI will mimic that. The AI doesn't technically exist between messages, so you can turn the tone of the conversation any time... Also, read the .md files, you'd be surprised what the AI is recording about you and your conversations in long term memory.... You can. Also edit those markdown files to change the AIs overall behavior as well.
