There is a Ralphs grocery store that started using AI in the self checkout and every few items I'd scan it would mistakenly flag me trying to shoplift when I wasn't. This actually happened to other people too while I was in line. Every time there was a flag from the AI, one of the workers would have to come over and check to review the video. This happened so frequently it makes no sense to get weekly groceries there with one person sandy by the self checkout and six self checkout stations. I'm about to head to a Vons to get groceries now. If they don't have that annoying AI, they'll have a new customer.
