I think you missed the point of how AI or machine learning is stealing from huge arrays of artists works that did not concent towards doing this sort of research. These people are profiting from a database of files made by millions of artists that did not concent towards ai people using their works. If machine learning could only be developed using databases made from works by artists getting compensation for the ai makers for this then that's a different story and the technology wouldn't have been this effective or advanced. It only got this powerful based on what it took from those millions of works. Artists have to be compensated it you want to use their works for something if not that then atleast get their concent for using their works. There are licensees that are specifically designed for this. Some would just require you to give aattribution but no nothing was provided the geni is out of the bottle unless these tools are heavily moderated which isn't gonna happen and even know ironically there is an open sourced ai tool that too took from artists their works without concent. It feels illegal but I'm not sure if any court will prosecute and even then that won't stop the internet from developing the software even more from doing the same.
