AI doesn't necessarily copy artists content, it's also able to take some ideas from different artists, techniques, etc. to create a completely new image (just as artists would do with much more time invested). BUT because it may also create identical copies, I agree that we need a system to identify these, just like the music industry does. Funnily enough, these systems are normally powered by AI 🙃
