45:28 an example I'm aware of that fits this topic is number theory in algebra. This field used to be a purely theoretical body of study, no practical application. Nowadays everyone using the internet and relies on the security of encryption uses number theory because it gave us the RSA algorithm. Giving science the freedom to fill our equipment bag with anything even if it doesn't have a use right now is worthwhile because those might be the answers to questions we're not yet asking.
