I was just working up a blog post about what jobs are going to be lost to AI, and it's pretty depressing. Whole corporate departments--marketing, IT, accounting--will be reduced to one or two people to run the AI.
One thing I think will stay, though, are people who provide a human touch to people who can afford it. Fast food restaurants will automate first, leaving just one person to do the physical work, like bringing in supplies and filling ingredient hoppers for the robots, then middle class restaurants will get robo-cooks and servers, but high end restaurants--the ones that have chefs, not short order cooks--will continue to have human staff making and serving artisanal meals. Likewise, most artists are going to be unemployed, but I think there will be a new demand for IRL art, like paintings. Stuff made by humans will become desirable. It will be designer, while AI/robotic will be for the plebs because it's cheap.
