Aldous Huxley really was 100 years ahead of his time. AI, mass information and surveillance tech, technocratic oligarchies, gene editing, (very quietly, the researchers are afraid of releasing the results, electromagnetic stimulus can control human behavior, and the mind is unaware, thinking it's acting on it's own...) this is not the far off future, it's happening now, and we're all just sleeping, happily accepting this brave new world.
