Around 36 minutes he says comedians can’t explain the structure of jokes. Yes, they can. They know the formulas. They play with them all the time because audiences also know them and they need to maintain surprise. LLMs are actually quite bad at jokes. They can produce things that look like jokes, but they don’t have the human reaction to being surprised and tricked.
