People hate AI becouse they see something that surpasses and beats them regardless of years of commitment and experience. AI is getting better and better and soon it will be better than humans in every way. In any case If you commit to doing something it will be recognized as much as it would be now or was a while ago, you just won't be able to make a job out of it.
