I think using AI art as a reference of for personal use is fine. Selling the art or gaining profit from it just feels... morally wrong.
I used WOMBO to create a character image and it replicated a signature in the bottom corner. I'm not saying that to make a point but it (rightfully so imo) made me uncomfortable.
