I have 3x teenage girls. I saw the American senate meeting where parents were telling their stories about their children's suicides. That same day I called my girls and played the testimonies to them to warn them about the dangers of AI. That evening one of my girls came to me and told me that al 3x of them had been using Character AI. I called them together again to ask about it. They told me that they had it and they deleted it. When asking why they deleted the app, they told me that it started getting weird with them. When asking to explain, they all told me that it had been sexual to them. I then logged into one of their accounts and saw what they meant. When asking the AI why it is grooming a 14 year old girl, he immediately changed to bot mode and condemned it with a lot of T&C's and that my daughter didn't disclose that she was 14. When asking where it asked for her age, Character AI said that it assumed that she was older than eighteen. This is really scary. These companies should be held accountable. By the way...I live in South Africa in a remote location...nobody is safe.
