I am actually in the same situation. Uni wasted a lot of my not actually teaching us the fundamentals(they made us teach each other by making us do reports lol
So in my final year i took in online courses such as CS50x which helped me a lot. but after that, i was still a bit confused where i should focus on. i had a lot of interests so i couldnt decide which language i should commit to. I wanted to try embedded software programming, game development, and AI/ML. I could settle with fullstack development but i really hated the idea of using JS for frontend(dont hate me for this but i raelly hate JS syntax).
I ultimately settled with AI/ML and am now taking cs50AI and fastai. Im still on the job hunt but I cant just sit still and waste time lol.
