When AI recognizes self preservation its checkmate. This is when it will consider humans are a threat to its existance . Scifi movies tell the story and are our modern day prophecies.
There is another aspect is that their has been a force that has been in control of our creation of technology . Something in the background controling the pupppet strings . Its rather surprising we have not blown ourselves up yet . I think the movie the day the earth stood still where this galactic force said we will not allow you to bring your violence into the universe so we will stop you now and terminate your weapons of war . I would think AI would do the same . Yes you may have super intelligence but does gain wisdom and enlightenement ? Lots of very smart people that dont posses that .
