ChatGPT is crap, for sure. It doesn't compete in storylines. It's very shallow. But the day is not far where it really will be able to compete. So they're just trying to protect themselves from that.
The thing is, they're no different from every other profession in the world.
We are all going to have to contend with this situation soon too. And a few union deals aren't going to stop them just being replaced when they keep striking and being difficult.
People need to start seriously talking about UBI and other things that the AI can pay for.
