Having an AI phone to modify our pictures doesn make our life better, a car with better infotainment doesn't make our life better, a washing machine who can buy washing pods doesn't make our life better, keeping a person alive for 10 more years with some pills doesn't make our life better and I don't think AI will make our lives better, unless you sort out our primary needs - food, shelter, community, freedom - if you don't sort these out you can make any technological development and it will not make our lives better.
