I won't deny that I've used AI to generate art before. Nothing I'd ever post publicly, just to help visualize concepts in my head to other people (as a D&D DM with zero artistic abilities, it's really helpful to be able to plug in a character description and have something to show the people at my table.) I think some of the hate AI art gets is a bit excessive. That being said, anyone who claims that using AI art makes you an artist is either deluded, narcissistic, or intentionally misleading. Using AI to make art and calling yourself an artist is like microwaving a frozen made-for-TV dinner and calling yourself a chef.
