Noice. My dislike of AI is extremely... visceral and instinctual. From an extremely basic biological perspective, you do not outsource something that you plan to keep. "But muh technological revolution!" Yes, and now look at you. Odds are you can't do math in your head; nth-times-great-grandpa decided to hand you a machine to do that for you. Odds are you can't hunt, farm, forest, or forage on your own... same reason; you now require machines to do so. They were introduced as "help" and the people whose professions these were became obsolete and were either retrained or removed. I can __kind of__ put up with this, because the intent was to free people from being shackled to menial labor, to enable more art, more music, to polish the soul by easing stress on mind and body. It... didn't really. Just changed the kind of menial labor, but it tried. Certainly reduced the number of people needed to do the work. Well... here we are. Engage what's left of human pattern recognition and take a stab at predicting the future if this stuff takes off; the express intent is not to free, exactly the opposite. Outsource the activities of the free... relegate biological life to labor. Reduce the number of people needed. ... Wonder where we've heard that one before. Keep poisoning the future would-be overlords, my salutes to you.
