Eliezer has never been the best communicator of these ideas, but "They're not investing $500 billion into datacenters to sell you $20/mo subscriptions, they're doing it to sell employers $2000/mo subscriptions" is a really clear way for the average person to understand that the end goal isn't anything close to ChatGPT and what we currently have.
