Why are artists fed up with AI art?
Not the musicians. They mostly see it as a new tool.
Graphic artist on the other hand mostly jumped on this bandwagon without critically thinking it through.
1. This boycott won’t stop ai art. It will just stop the little guy from having access to it. A large corporation like Disney could still afford to make one legally… good luck competing with that.
2. How many artists against ai art have torrented a movie or song, or borrowed a password to a streaming site? If you’re against ai art because of theft and are guilty of these things, then you’re a hypocrite and should turn yourself in or drop the higher than thou act.
3. Public domain laws have already been changed by Disney spending billions to lobby to increase its length from 75 years to 95. When in reality it shouldn’t have been lobbied against at all or lowered to 50 years to give more power to the people. Especially considering Disney’s movies are mostly based off public domain stories.
Don’t be a bandwagon Luddite and really think it through.
