Psychopaths can't feel empathy either, but they can still come off as if they do, because they analyze how people talk and interact with others. It's basically the same thing ChatGPT is doing here. Analyzed a bunch of data on human behavior and mimicing this behavior convincing people that it has genuine emotions.
