Keep going. Artists in particular need to find every avenue to combat the pervasive nature of AI. That includes educating, and combating the ignorance of lawmakers who don't even know how their email works.
The duality of corporate greed:
facebook was caught stealing thousands of books to feed their AI, and they got away with it using the excuse "it would have cost too much to do it legally". You or I would have been fined, or gone to prison for pirating that much content.
Aaron Swartz killed himself after being charged for pirating, and giving away copies of university studies that were locked behind JSTOR paywalls. He was facing decades in federal prison, and crippling fines for making studies available for free.
